Single Mothers Connection (SMC)
“Working together to make a difference for single mothers”
Aims to assist single mothers by;
Mentoring
Raising self-esteem
Building confidence
Developing skills
Providing information and support
Prayer clinic
Training and education
We will do this through gaining support from other partnership groups and organisations in order to move the group forward.
We are always recruiting, so volunteers are welcome to make contact.
Leicester Community Gospel Choir (LCGC)
Leicester Community Gospel Choir was formed in 1999 as part of the Praise Prayer & Deliverance ministries 'Community Outreach Team'. Based locally, Leicester Community Gospel Choir is made up of people from the community, for the community. We are a dedicated group of people who endeavour to promote a POSITIVE message through uplifting music, which is accessible to all. Our director is Basil Dixon (Bizzi). We are willing to sing in a variety of venues such as Churches, Prisons, Festivals / Carnivals, Community centres, Hospitals, Nightclubs, Weddings, Christenings, Funerals and various other functions. We are also available for Corporate and Commercial events. We meet every Wednesday at 8-9 pm in Leicester. Looking ahead
October: Woman of Faith Conference- Saturday 23rd. Empowering women & honouring individual ministries. Men are not excluded for they can come to support and encourage the women.
December: Midnight Praise- 10pm-1am. A time of celebration, reviewing and moving forwards in the plan and purpose of the Lord for 2011 as we always need direction for the year ahead.
